Midnight Special is a road plus bike designed to provide comfort and speed on those all-day rides that extend well beyond fresh pavement. Midnight Special shines on pot-holed, deteriorating pavement and the occasional long stretch of gravel. Its 650B road plus tires eat up road chatter and absorb all the bumps in the road like the champion it was designed to be. When it comes to road bikes, we just want to toss a few bananas into our pockets and see where the road takes us. We seek out varied surfaces on our rides and frequently go from pavement to gravel to worse pavement. Straggler is a bikepacking-inspired road/gravel bike mostly at home on pavement but ready for trail duty when called. Born on Gravel. Raised on Pavement Straggler is tuned for cross-over exploration on a wide variety of terrain conditions. It's a day-tripper and a weekender. It's a "rough road" road bike, a cyclocross bike with no pretense about racing, a utilitarian townie, a light-duty touring bike and an all-weather commuter. It's a steel gravel bicycle that thrives on the road. Think of it as a "mountain biker's road bike." If you only have room for one bike in your life, Straggler can (and should) be your one and only. Straggler's capabilities go well beyond asphalt. It also lends itself well to light touring setups. We're talking frame bags, seat bags, and "credit card touring" rather than full-blown touring. Surly's Stainless Steel Chainrings last longer than their aluminum brethern because the 304 grade metal they use is 35% stronger. The rings aren't pinned or ramped so when one side starts to wear you can flip it around and pedal some more! They work great with singlespeed, fixed, and 1x9 applications.

The Ice Cream Truck fork is made from 4130 CroMoly steel and is designed for Surly's Ice Cream Truck frame. It's ready for trail use and features butted and tapered blades with thru-axle dropouts spaced at 150mm. It has barrel bosses at the dropouts and crown, mid-blade thru-blade eyelets and triple bottle bosses on both fork legs. Designed for Surly's Krampus frame, this fork has quick-release dropouts spaced at 100mm and clearance for a 3-inch tire on a 50mm rim. To accommodate such big tires it's got a longer axle-to-crown measurement than the Ogre or Karate Monkey forks, making it a perfect rigid fork option for lots of 29ers out there. The Krampus fork's blades were designed and manufactured specifically to play well with the unique forces such a long fork with big tires will encounter, and the steer tube is standard 1-1/8-inch threadless. Dummy Rails support Dummy Bags on your Big Dummy cargo bike, and Surly's Dummy Deck bolts directly to them, stiffening the whole system for a more stable load. Dummy Rails are made of light, strong aluminum and were designed in conjunction with the Dummy Deck and Dummy Bags; each component works best when used with the others. Like all Surly products, they've built in lots of useful details. For example, the deck-attachment bosses stick up from the rails to create space between the deck and rails, providing windows to route tie-down straps and cordage; and threaded bottle cage bosses located at the rear of each rail provide mounting locations for accessories: bottle cages of course, or lights, cameras, pumps, flags, horns, light saber scabbards, disco balls, spittoons, cornucopias, etc. Dummy Rails will work with cargo frames (including the Surly Big Dummy) built around Xtracycle's longtail standards.

When you’re out on a ride the last thing you want is to be limited by your tires in any way. Our ExtraTerrestrial Tires were designed to let you ride without limits by simply following the only tenets we have for tire design: they’re high volume and they kick ass. The ExtraTerrestrial tire was meant to serve as a heavy-duty off-road touring tire that shines on hardpack surfaces. It uses a nylon breaker in the sidewalls for cut protection, a molded pattern for anti-cut propagation, and a Kevlar cap under the tread to protect against flats. The ET Tire uses a distinctly directional tread pattern and its width yields more traction than you might expect from a tire with such little rolling resistance. The tread is low profile with a file tread in between tread blocks.
